According to the information you provide I will create an itinerary for you to visit the places mentioned in your own genealogy research. We will visit villages and towns, local cemeteries and churches where your ancestors were baptized, married and where requiem masses were held for them. I will design a tailor-made itinerary for you and will suggest significant historical sights of the visited region, local craft and agriculture centers and/or local factories upon your request. We can also plan your visit around the time when local folklore festivals are held in the region, so you could join in street celebrations as your ancestors most probably did centuries ago.

Price for the trip: per request, the trip usually lasts from 10-12hours.

No extra charges for creating the tailor-made itinerary if you provide us all necessary information about places that you would like to visit (in other words, if you share your genealogy research with us so we can use that information)

If you haven’t done your own genealogy research, I am able to arrange basic research to prepare for the visit. The initial research includes the following information: We will trace and verify that your family ancestors lived in the indicated area. We will find out if the original house is still there and if it is possible to visit it. We will search for the local cemetery and church related to your ancestor's life and interpret for you the time when your ancestors lived in that region (e.g. the political situation, possible reasons for emigration, daily life, local customs and traditions...etc.)

Extra charge for the initial research: At a request.

The initial research includes: Researching archives for options and records availability / Researching the family house, local church and cemetery / Translation of relevant documents from German, Latin, and Old Czech into English (you will get copies of the documents in electronic version) / Recommendations for further research according to the sources of information found in the archives

About 5 years ago, I learned at my grandmother's 80th birthday celebrations that my cousin’s wife was a professional genealogist :-) Since that time I have discussed a lot about this field with her, including researching my own family ancestry. Please bear in mind we need at least 3 months to complete the Genealogy research. During the busy summer season it may take even longer—up to 5 months.

My cousin's wife is also a very talented artist and makes original hand-painted Family trees. She could prepare a Family tree for you to bring back home as an original souvenir from your travels.
